How to be inspired

Artists over time have been visited by the muse. By inspiration. When that flow of creativity stops, one could begin questioning life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Where does creativity come from and how can someone become inspired when the well has run dry? As I mentioned in my Sparking Creativity by Doodling video, your creativity comes from within you. And when those ideas stop, it's easy to get upset about it and either give up entirely or search for new inspiration. How can one be inspired? 2022 Resolutions in Review

My 2022 goals were personal and professional. The goals were to, in no particular order, make more profit on Etsy, complete a 100 day art challenge, take 52 walks, visit 12 state or national parks, read 20 books, start a Youtube channel, watch 180 new-to-me movies, reduce my consumption of fries by 50%, pay off two credit cards completely, eat more at home/meal prep 5 days a week, and work with two new illustration clients. Did I meet my goals? We’ll find out after a break. Just kidding, I am not sponsored. A review of the books and movies that I read in 2022

First off, thank you for reading this! In 2021, I started an Instagram for the things that I do or watch, like playing board games, or watching shows, or finished books. I had a goal of reading 20 books, which I then upped to 24. I finished with 25. My favorite book of the year was Chesapeake by James Michener, which was 1,024 pages and about 52 hours of audiobook. It took me months to read it because I would check it out from the library and then three weeks would go by, and I couldn't renew it. So there were long times between reading it where I had to read other things. It really inspired me to read more of his works though because I learn so much from his books and I get to do some mental traveling.
